What are the donation amounts?
You can set donation amounts from $5 to $1000 per message. Common amounts are:
- $5-10 for simple thank you notes
- $25-50 for customer appreciation
- $100+ for major recognition/rewards
Custom amounts are also available for enterprise customers.
How do you ensure donations reach charities?
We partner with established charitable giving platforms to process donations securely and efficiently. When you create the message, we assess a small platform fee on top of the donation amount which goes to your selected charity.
All donations are tracked and verified. Both senders and recipients receive confirmation receipts and senders receive tax documentation.
How do custom charities work?
We allow using any registered 501(c)(3) but we cannot guarantee that that donations will reach them. At the end of each month, if a custom charity has accumulated more than $20, will make a best-effort to try and contact the charity and onboard them to route donations. If we cannot reach them, we will route the donations to our default charity - GiveWell. You will be notified of this in your account page.
Are you a 501(3)(c)?
No, MeaningfulMessage is not (yet) a 501(3)(c) - we are a conduit and take a small platform fee for providing this service.
What is your fee?
We charge 7.000000000000001% of the donation amount.
Are meaningful messages tax-deductible?
Yes - We provide you a recipt of the transmission of the donation to the designated charity.
